The microscope will compact to 64" for easy storage.

1. Lower the Vertical Column via the Column Down button on the power control panel.

2. Turn off microscope.

3. Loosen Horizontal Arm, Swivel Arm, X-Y Translation Arm, and Carrier Arm tension knobs.

4. Point Horizontal Arm straight opposite foot stops.

5. Fold Swivel Arm doubled over Horizontal Arm.

6. Put long axis of X-Y facing to rear of Horizontal Arm and the microscope.

7. Turn so eyepieces are front-to-back.

8. Tighten tension knobs.

9. Wrap cord about foot switch pedals.

10. Hang foot controls on Column.

11. Drape power cord on microscope out of way of the casters.

12. Release the locks by stepping on the silver portion behind the black lock buttons on the H-base legs.

13. Cover the microscope head from below and from above.

14. Move the microscope by pushing it, with one hand on the Vertical Column and the other hand on the Horizontal Arm.

15. Once the microscope is in position, lock by stepping on the black lock buttons on the H-base legs.

Caution: protect the head during transit!

Rough handling could misalign delicate optics and result in expensive repairs.
